The opposition Democratic Party held a rally-protest today in front of the headquarters of the government, demanding a temporary anti-mafia government, which would guarantee free voting and the fight against criminality.
The speakers at the rally accused the government for collaborating with criminal drug trafficking groups and co-operating with nostalgic communist structures that have become part of the government.The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, said that "Rama's government has fallen behind such close co-operation with criminal groups".
Mr. Basha said that today is the end of the illegal government, the creation of anti-mafia government, the fight against crime, the progress of justice reform according to Albanian Constitution and the preparation of free and fair elections.Thousands of protesters came to the capital from all provinces of Albania brought by bus by opposition to attend the rally.
