Belgian police say they have discovered two cannabis plantations in recent weeks.
The cannabis plants were discovered in Meise and Tienen, while several Albanians were arrested, whose names have not been published by the Belgian press.
In a farm in Meise is discovered a cannabis plantation with 2,000 narcotic plants.There authorities arrested an Albanian who tried to destroy drug stocks when he learned that the police were going there.Meanwhile, on January 31 in Tienen was found another plantation with 2100 cannabis plants and 3.5 kg of harvested cannabis.
During that police action, three Albanians and one Belgian citizen of Albanian origin were arrested.
The media say the detainees have denied the involvement in this criminal activity.
Investigations by the Belgian authorities are continuing to fully uncover this illegal activity and the role of the detainees.
