Several thousand of Macedonian citizens have protested in Skopje for, as they said, the protection of the identity and the name of the state of Macedonia.
The protest began in front of the European Union mission and ended before the Macedonian Parliament.
Demonstrators all the time chanted "Macedonia, Macedonia" slogans and sang patriotic songs as they burned the flag of Greece - the country with which the Macedonian government is talking about name dispute resolution.Protesters have requested the termination of these talks, but there have been other demands, such as the withdrawal of the Law on the Use of Languages, the withdrawal of the Agreement with Bulgaria, and the release of prisoners arrested for violence in the Assembly on April 27.
The demands, as they have said, will be handed over to the president, parliament and government and all foreign embassies in Macedonia.
According to them, if the Government does not accept the requests, then they will demand the dissolution of the Assembly and holding early elections.
The protest marks the anniversary of the Movement "For Macedonia", which last year protested for several months against what is known as the "Tirana Platform" or the political parties' agreement on resolving open issues that was reached in Tirana with the support of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Some of the leaders and supporters of the movement also participated in the violence in the Macedonian Parliament on April 27 last year.
