The renowned Danish architect, Bjarke Bundgaard Ingels has appreciated the efforts of Tirana to transform into a city that is more accessible to its people. Starting the presentation of the new National Theater project today, Bjorke Ingels was surprised at the change that Tirana has experienced in relation to several years ago, while stressing that he felt inspired by the change of Tirana.
"We came here for the first time 7 years ago and I saw Tirana that started to sprout from energy and transformations but it was a city completely different from what I see today. I have since then came in Tirana at least 1 time per year and it is inspiring for me to see a city and a nation so mobilized in an effort to make the city funcional, its spaces and streets more habitable and more enjoyable for people living here," Ingels said.
He further emphasized that he was also honored to contribute further to the National Theater project in this transformation of Tirana. "It is an extraordinary honor to be part of this transformation within the framework of the National Theater, said Ingels.
The architect Ingels expressed positive notes for what the "Scanderbeg" square offers today.
"Today, Skanderbeg Square has become wonderful and has given life to Tirana," added the Danish architect.
