The former prefect of Fier Bujar Hasaj ended up in handcuffs after deceived two persons, one of whom Canadian.
The Tirana Court, at the Prosecution's request, has imposed a "prison arrest" measure on fraud. Hasaj was the prefect of Fier from 2009 to 2012 proposed by PDK and is accused of deceiving 2 people by receiving some 310,000 euros.
Hasaj, who was also a builder, had promised to the Canadian with the initials B.H a store in Tirana worth of 260 thousand dollars, but after receiving the money, he did not gave him the object in question. After securing the money Hasa lost any contact with the foreign citizen.But by falsifying documents, Hasa is accused of acquiring another sum, this time by an Albanian citizen. He deceived the citizen with D.M. initials, receiving from an amount of 50,000 euros, with the promise to sell an apartment, but with false documents. Despite the promise, Hasa disappeared without trace.
"The arrest of the aforementioned was made because this citizen, in cooperation with the citizen with the initials P.P., have deceived by document falsification, the Canadian citizen B.H., receiving an amount of 260,000 (two hundred and sixty thousand) dollars and the Albanian citizen DM receiving from him an amount of 50,000 (fifty thousand) euros. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office of the First Instance Court of Tirana..." is writen in the police notification.
