Italy is the main partner of trade exchanges with Albania.
According to the State Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) report, in February 2018, the countries with which Albania had the largest increase in exports compared to February 2017 are Italy (9.2%), Spain (138.2%) and Germany (25.9% ).
While the countries with which exports had the largest decrease were: Kosovo with (-16.1%), Macedonia with (-29.8%) and Serbia with (-1.5%).During this two-month period, the countries with which Albania had the largest increase in exports, compared to the previous year, are Italy (7.7%), Spain (126.8%) and Kosovo (7.4%). While the countries with which exports had the largest decrease were: Romania with (-3.8%), France with (-22.4%) and Hungary with (-15.5%).
As far as imports are concerned, INSTAT reports that in February 2018, the countries with which Albania grew larger compared to February 2017 are: Italy with (5.9%), Greece with (14.8%) and France with (77.1%).
The countries with which imports had the most significant decrease are: Turkey (-2.0%), China (-4.0%) and Germany (-10.9%), reports INSTAT.
Trade exchanges with EU countries account up to 67.9%. In February 2018, exports to EU countries accounted for 79.2% of total exports and imports from EU countries accounted for 62.1% of total imports.
