March 3 is the World Wildlife Day, the day when the diversity of wild life forms of fauna and flora is celebrated and to become aware of the many benefits that we, humans, receive from their preservation and protection.
Wildlife has essential values and gives its contribution in the ecological, genetic, social, economic, scientific, educational, cultural and aesthetic aspects of sustainable development and human well-being.
However, a day ago in the lagoon of Kune-Vain of Lezha, a red fox has been killed by illegal hunting, which is at risk of extinction. But the irony here is that according to the citizens, one the two people who killed the red fox is responsible for the protection of the species in Vain of Lezha and the other is the owner of a restaurant in Lezha, who wears the uniform as an AKZM employee.
One citizen has written to JOQ.al:
This is how foxes are killed in the Kune-Vain national park.
The young man in the photo is called Nika Toni and is responsible for the protection of species in Vain of Lezha and the second is Pashk Ndoka who owns a restaurant in Vaini area of Lezha.
Laguna Kune - Vain in Lezha is the first protected area in Albania, proclaimed as such 77 years ago. After 1990, this lagoon suffered numerous injuries from illegal hunting and construction around it, which apparently continue to exist.
