The Albanian Government approved in Wednesday's meeting, the contract with the company Gjoka sh.a, for the construction of Arber Motorway.
The contracts signed on 5 February of this year received also the green light by the Council of Ministers.Arber Motorway is the main road axis in Eastern Albania, connecting the country with the Great Dibra, is estimated to cost about 240 million euro. Its works and maintenance, which is the result of a Public Private Partnership Contract, will be carried out by the winning company "Gjoka sh.a" and will be paid by the state within 13 years.
For years, political parties in electoral campaigns promised to build this important road.The contract approvement notice was given while at the "Nation's Road" took place a massive protest against the setting of the high cost of payment tax. Most of the protesters were from Kosovo.
