Albania is presenting its vibrant culture in the heart of Brussels, in the BOZAR hall, were will reveal the colors, rhythms and energy of a country with a European identity, only a few days after the opening of the negotiations for Albania's EU membership.
The National Ensemble of People's Songs and Dance is participating in the International Cultural Festival "Balkan Trafik", which is being held from 19-22 April.
With a formation of 17 artists, soloists, dance groups, the vocal and folk orchestras, the polyphonic group together with the magical voice of Hysni Zela will make posible for the attendees to be able to travel through Albanian songs, dances and folklore, represented by National Ensemble.The program includes the most prominent dances of different areas, polyphonic songs to orchestral formations in the form of coats, or the immortal melodies of the cultivated song.
Culture Minister Mirela Kumbaro stressed strongly that "the task of promoting a favorable image abroad belongs to cultural diplomacy. The role of culture in improving or promoting the country's image is important. There are many years that Albania is exporting a high quality culture."
The National Ensemble Concert, newly honored with the title "Honor of the Nation", promises success in this major cultural event of the countries of our region and beyond. Representation of the National Ensemble's trophy in this edition is dedicated to Albanian polyphony as UNESCO's legacy, within the 60th anniversary of Albania's membership in this organization.
The articipation in this international festival is organized in cooperation with the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs as well as our diplomatic representation in Brussels.
