We must start negotiations with Albania, was the decision of the MEP and Rapporteur for Albania, Knut Fleckenstein, after his visit to Albania.
The MEP and Rapporteur for Albania, Fleckenstein referring to his visit in Albania emphasizes that progress has been made and Albanians deserve all our efforts to bring Albania closer to the EU.
"Last week I visited Albania again. My conclusion is clear: We must start negotiations with this country. Progress has been made, though much remains to be done. Undoubtedly! It was really encouraged by the young people I met in Tirana, at the school and in the social center at the River Lana or at the University of Durres. They all deserve all our efforts to bring Albania closer to the EU," says Fleckenstein. |

Knut Fleckenstein said that "We may have different opinions about many political decisions, but for these young people in Tirana it is worth working. And I'm sure, Durres students will help us."
