In a counterattack to Erdogan and Turkey's attack on Kosovo's Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, the latter stated that he consumes the traditional Albanian alcoholic drink, Raki, because hi is Albanian and not from Anatolia.
In an interview for Kosovo television, Ramushaj said: Albanians are of Christian blood, but today they have also Muslim blood and this does not pose any problems.
Meanwhile earlier in an interview for Columbia University, Haradinaj was asked about Islamic radicalism in Kosovo and he replied:
"With generations my family was of Albanian Catholic faith, I have born Muslim, but I do not know why I am a Muslim, because I never go to the Mosque, either for prayer or for anything else. The only way to realized that I am a Muslim is my name, but this does not say all the things, as most of our names are from centuries Christian Albanians , old Illyrian names.
Religion for us is only a practice during the Ottoman administration, only during that time we have received something from Islam, but it has never become our identity or the main thing in our lives."
