An Albanian is wounded with firearms this Friday in Athens. According to Greek media reports, he is 38 years old and has no previous criminal record in the Hellenic state, but his identity is not disclosed by the Greek media.
The 38-year-old is reportedly out of life risk.The event has been marked in a Barber Shop in the center of Athens on Victorian Square (Heyden Street 8) shortly after 13 p. m.
According to the Greek CNN, one of the two masked gunmen fired six times with his firearm, and four bullets touchedd the Albanian on foot, while the other collaborator waited outside the shop.
After they shot they run away and are still unidentified by Greek police. Inside the shop, when the event happened, there were other people. Suspicions are that the injury is related to the clashes between the gangs, CNN reports, but an investigation has been launched by the Greek authorities for the full disclosure of the incident.
The same media reports that by profession the Albanian is an hydraulic. He is married and his wife lives in Albania. The 38-year-old also has Greek citizenship, received in 2016.
In a testimony given to the investigators after the incident, the Albanian was quoted as saying: "I was with my friend in Victoria Square and got coffee, very close to my home, when I finished I told my friend to leave because I wanted to go to the salon. I usually to the one at Heyden Street. So, we paid the cafes and left. As soon as I entered the salon and sat in the chair, in a fraction of a second I saw a man who opened the door, while another was waiting in the car outside the shop. Both, with covered faces. The person who came inside, I saw was carrying a gun and started shooting at my feet. Shortly thereafter, he left the shop, got in the car and left."
