Spanish police have arrested yesterday four Albanians with 86 kg of cocaine. Their arrest was carried out in the Benalmádena (Málaga) area and the cocaine was found in three luggage in a car trunk. The four arrested Albanians traveled with two cars, one of which was luxurious and the other modest.
The first car performed the protective role traveling in high-speed while the cocaine was in the second. Albanians saw the police checkpoint and attempted to avoid them.
Two of the Albanian passengers in one of the cars aged 24 and 25 have just seen the police have started making phone calls telling them they had encountered a police checkpoint.While the other two are 27 and 38 years old. After the check, 86 kilos of cocaine were found and the amount of 5,900 euros. Recently, Spain has come back to attention, as an area that Albanians use it as a springboard for drug trafficking to other countries.
Several weeks ago, the Spanish National Police agents in a joint operation with the Madrid office and Colombia's DEA under Europol's co-ordination hit a criminal group of the Albanian mafia by sequestering 1 ton of cocaine and 1.5 million euros. The operation was finalized with the arrest of two Albanians, Julian Deblini, who had the surname Gjoka and Arjan Ndoci.
One day after the arrest, the Madrid police spokesman in a statement for Report TV stated that the two arrested Albanians were the heads of this criminal group involving two Spanish nationals and one Colombian.
