The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, awarded yesterday in a special ceremony to the former OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President, Riccardo Migliori, the title "Knight of the Skanderbeg Order".
At the ceremony organized at the premises of the Presidency institution, President Ilir Meta said that Riccardo Migliori is awarded with the title: "In appreciation for the outstanding contribution to the protection, spread of values and democratic standards in Albania, as well as for the unsparing support in its integration and Euro-Atlantic processes."In his speech, Meta emphasized that Migliori has decided and maintained a special report with Albania, relying on key processes of our modern history.
"While exercising the duty of the President of the OSCE's General Assembly, he has left a deep impression on the country's institutional memory. As a member and then head of the Italian parliamentary delegation to the OSCE General Assembly, Migliori is a witness and contributor to the changes that have taken place in strengthening democratic institutions." - said Meta .
