62% of Albanians do not trust political parties in their country. These figures, which have been published by the European Commission and refer to data from January to November 2017, show a high percentage among Albanians in terms of credibility in political parties. According to the poll, 36% of Albanians tend to believe in political parties, with a low percentage of 3% responded 'I do not know.'We remind that 2017 was an election year for Albanians.
If we look at the map of Europe as a whole, Albanians seem more confident. Our Italian neighbors have an unbelieving leading attitude, with 83% of them responding that 'we are not inclined to believe', 13% of them believe and the rest have answered 'do not know'. In high rates of mistrust there are also Czech citizens, ie 84% of them do not trust the political parties. Over 60% of those who do not trust political alternatives are the Spaniards, the French, the Serbs. Cypriot citizens are leading Europe with their mistrust of politics, with 88%. The Germans, Finns and Turks have the highest percentage in terms trust in their political parties.In the region, Albanians show up with more positive and credible grades of political alternatives, as the report shows that 81% of Serbs are unbelieving, 74% of Macedonian do not trust their parties.
According to the EC, each survey consists of about 1000 face-to-face interviews for each country. Reports are published twice a year. Flash Eurobarometers are ad-hoc thematic telephone interviews conducted at the request of any European Commission service. Flash surveys enable the Commission to get relatively quick results and focus on specific target groups, when and where required.
