Its amount is worth at around 200 million Euros, which was hidden in a banana shipment. Investigators say 1 kg of cocaine in Ecuador costs 1365 euros, while in the black market in Germany costs 75,800 euros. According to German authorities, refugee smugglers have returned to drug trafficking due to the closure of immigrant routes to the Balkans.This is what the the Interior Minister of the Bavarian Land in Germany Joachim Herrmann said. Twelve people were arrested in total during the anti-drug police operation, most of whom are Albanians. Some of them are resident in Germany. German police considered the action to be successful, explaining that they struck a large international drug trafficking network run by Albanians.
This organization, according to the German authorities, has traced a total of 1.8 tons of cocaine worth over 400 million euros. The banana cocaine had been trafficked from Ecuador to Hamburg. The detainees of this organization risk a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
