The Pyramid of former dictator of Albania, Enver Hoxha |
The pyramid will undergo a major transformation from, a symbol of a wild regime representing Enver Hoxha, to a multifunctional IT center for children and young people in the country.
During the presentation of the project, international architects explained how the pyramid will change its visuallity.
"We want the pyramid to be part of its surroundings. Perhaps few people know that the bulk is below us, 1/3 is up and 2/3 is down ", one of the architects said."We want to make it more efficient, add volume inside where each function finds the place. We want these pavilions to be programmed for the future of the pyramid. We want the stairs to go to the top of the pyramid."
To make it more transparent, architects explained that existing window glasses would be replaced with transparent ones and at the top of the pyramid will be planted greenery.
But how will internal spaces be transformed and of what will serve specifically?
International architects have conceived the symbol of the pyramid as a way to give the generation full confidence to develop their skills for the future of the country, in the field of technological development. The interior spaces that make up 2/3 of the building will serve as training opportunities and seminars for children, mainly for young people, in the field of technology from software to rrobotics.
According to them, the use of science and robotics, software and virtuality will enable these children to develop skills and tendencies for science, as well as teaching music through coding.
Children who will be part of these spaces must be above the age of 5 to high school students.
Through the vision of the Pyramid transformation, virtual reality will give children and young people the opportunity to be free to develop their skills, especially in the scientific field.
International architects who have designed the Pyramid transformation are Ronald Hogeveen (Architect) of the project MVRDV and Pegor Papazian, Executive Director of TUMO ventures.
