Slovenia, is officially pro the opening of Albania's EU membership talks.
Albania's Ambassador to Slovenia, Pellumb Qazimi, said in an interview to ATSH that "Slovenia has officially supported the status of candidate country for Albania, and this year for talks opening".
"Slovenia is considered among the countries that provide full support for the European integration of Albania and all the Western Balkan countries," Ambassador Qazimi told ATSH.This, he notes, "is confirmed during all meetings organized with the Slovenian authorities".
"The Slovenian position is that the countries of the Western Balkans are part and have their place in Europe," said Ambassador Qazimi.
He adds that, "in the last debate organized at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana, coorganized by the Embassy of Hungary, as the Presidency of the Visegrad Group Presidency and the Slovenian Center for European Perspectives on May 23, the message the main thing was that these countries along with Slovenia fully support the European integration of the Western Balkan countries."
