The Albanian Minister of Culture Mirela Kumbaro presented today formally the candidacy of the world-renowned Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho as UNESCO's Goodwill Ambassador and her willingness to put her name, voice and fame in the service of causes and UNESCO projects.
During his stay in Paris, Culture Minister paid a visit to the office of United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture, UNESCO, and was received by UNESCO General Director Audrey Azoulay.
Kumbaro emphasized that it would be in the honor of the Organization to engage a woman and an artist of this level to work and influence culture to remain the bridge of communication among young people around the world and play its role in peace and the emancipation of societies in the world.
