The Kosovo Assembly approved yesterday the resolution on the abolition of roming tariffs with Albania.
The resolution passed with 69 votes in favor and one abstention.Dardan Molliqaj, spoke on behalf of the PSD, which proposed this resolution, saying that relations with Albania should be built based on respect and dedication.
"Opening the borders between Kosovo and Albania would open many obstacles between the two countries. The two states are not at risk from the huge wave of refugees, this is why Kosovo considers Albania as the 'best friend'. It is reported that 31% of tourists in the past year in Albania were from Kosovo, was the largest number of tuourists," Molliqaj said.
He also wrote a post on Facebook, congratulating the two Albanian countries for this resolution.
From now on, Kosovo and Albania without Roaming
I thank all the MPs who voted for the resolution I have proposed on behalf of the PSD, to remove Roaming between Kosovo and Albania. From now and on we will communicate with each other as well as within the country without any additional costs.
I hope that the Government of Kosovo will begin work as soon as possible for the full implementation of this resolution voted by the Assembly of Kosovo.
