Within the "Nationwide Year of Skanderbeg", the work for the restoration of the Kastrioti Museum, a IIth-century cultural monument, has started in the village of Sina in the district of Dibra.
Representatives of the Institute of Monuments of Culture, Regional Directorate of National Culture Shkodra, Municipality of Debar and the restoration company that will carry out the works, were present at the start of the works yesteday.
The project designed by the IMK specialists aims at restoring the entire facility, reorganizing the lighting system and electrical installations, and arranging the territory around the building.Also an important part of the project is the museumization. Assessing the museum's rich inventory and exposure environment, the project aims to rearrange exposure tables in quality, dimensions and shape.
The foreseen interventions will also consist of roof waterproofing, cleaning, painting and reshaping of the lighting.
The Kastrioti Museum is located in the village of Sina of the Arras Administrative Unit of Debar. The museum began to be built in 1982 and was first open to the public in 1985.
