Four teachers of a kindergarten in Bari, Italy were arrested by the provincial command carabinieri. They have slammed the children in their arms and faces, dragged them down until they fell to the ground or forced them to stay upside down at the desk, and when they tried to lift their head, they hit hard their head on the desk, by intimidating and threatening the children to death.
Four teachers, according to carabinieri investigations through the use of telecameras, as well as in cooperation during the school year 2017-2018, humiliated and beat young children, writes Italian media say.The children are pulled as they fell to the ground, slammed, or forced them to stay in a corner of the classroom with their faces facing the wall or with their hands behind their backs for prolonged periods.
Teachers threatened their children by saying that they would "tie them with ropes" that would "hit them with fists" that "would be taken to the barracks of the carabinieri where a dog would bite them." These threats were followed by insult and verbal humiliation.
The four teachers were employed with annual contracts and in this new school year, 3 of them were in other kindergartens, while one continued work in the kindergarten where the mistreatment took place.
