The bust of our national hero, Skanderbeg, will already be on Nicolae Iorga Boulevard in Craiova, Romania. A group of Albanian deputies, on the initiative of SP lawmaker Fate Velaj, were present at the inauguration ceremony of the hero's bust.
In his word the MP Fate Velaj thanked the Romanian authorities for their cooperation on the realization of this initiative and underlined that Skanderbeg was the best defender of the values of European civilization.
He also called on Romanian authorities to recognize Kosovo's independence. On the initiative of MP Velaj, has been compleeted the twinning of the municipality and the "Ismail Qemali" University of Vlora with that of Craiova. These joint Albanian-Romanian activities are also attended by Assembly MPs as well as leading authorities of Vlora's Municipality.
