Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj expressed his conviction that NATO will give support to the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) in its new mandate provided through draft laws, which have already been approved in principle and await the second reading in the Assembly.
During a press conference in Pristina, Haradinaj said was in contact with NATO officials, and according to him, there is no hesitation about the support given to the KSF."NATO is a serious decision maker and we are in constant communication with them. The military mandate process is heavy," said Haradinaj. According to him, the KSF, despite not being considered as an army, will have a military mandate.
"The difference is just changing the name, but you must do not have any dilemma. We are deeply convinced. We are part of NATO and we will become an army," Haradinaj said, underlining that it is not a transformation, but a transformation of the KSF into the army.
At this conference Haradinaj reiterated his stance on the idea of changing the border, which emerged from the negotiating table between the presidents of Kosovo and Serbia."
The idea of correction has died," Haradinaj said.
