Representatives of more than 210 Chinese companies visited Bulgaria this year to look for investment opportunities in this country and to establish partnerships with Bulgarian companies. This was also emphasized by the Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Economy, Alexander Manolev, at the opening of the Young Leaders International Conference, which is part of "16 + 1".
"This is another year in which we report stable growth of bilateral trade between Bulgaria and China," he said among other things.According to the deputy minister, in the first six months of 2018, the country has exported goods worth over $ 366 million to the second largest economy in the world. On an annual basis, this is a 10% increase.
Bilateral trade between Bulgaria and China reached over $ 2 billion last year.
Alexander Manolev predicts that these results will continue next year, and even may improve.
