"What does Ionannina's Eyes Saw" is a popular polyphonic Albaniaan song, which is sung by different voices both domestic and foreign.
This song has already been heard in the UK Parliament, where it was sung by an English group. British Polyphony Group have united their voices in breaking down the text of this familiar Albanian song sung mainly in the "Lab" region. The song mentions historical events, probably from 1840 to 1890 and there is a crime scene for Janina, namely the Five Wells (Turkish Beşpınar, Greek Pentepigadhia), as an old former area of cultural life for Albanians. The song refers to Zenel Çelo from the village of Horë-Vranisht who after killing the Pasha of the area in his tent is caught in an ambush.
