The Minister of Finance Bedri Hamza and German Government delegation leader Dirk Schattschneider sogmed today in Pristina the Protocol between the two governments confirming German commitments for Technical and Financial Cooperation for 2018-2019 in the amount of 60.05 million euros.
At a press conference following the signing of the protololl, the head of the German Government delegation, Schattschneider, stated that "Germany pledges for technical and financial cooperation for this year and next year in the amount of about 60 million euros. This commitment will be implemented for various projects, priority areas of democracy, civil society and public administration."Schattschneider added, "As a second area, we support sustainable economic development and support Kosovo by creating perspectives for the population, especially for the young population, the young generation."
He said that in the third field in focus is the support of energy efficiency, renewable energy and sewage treatment, which according to him, serve to directly improve the living conditions of Kosovo citizens.
While the Minister Hamza stated that the signing of this agreement provides Kosovo with over 60 million euros of funding, grant money and without return. He thanked the German institutions, the people and the German taxpayers that with their taxes continue to strongly support Kosovo's economic development.
"Germany is one of the largest donors in Kosovo. Today, the agreement has a weight of over 60 million euros in funding for energy, environment, education, the private sector, definitely these priorities and needs of Kosovo," he said.
