The EU High Representative spoke to the Serbian newspaper 'Danas' recently and stated that the EU will closely monitor the situation created.
Asked whether the EU will take any step regarding the current situation in Kosovo, Mogherini said that "will closely monitor the situation in northern Kosovo and will be in contact with all levels and that all competent institutions in Kosovo should fully respect the law.""As for the assassination of Oliver Ivanovic in North Mitrovica, which we strongly condemned, as we have said before, we expect that the relevant Kosovo authorities dealing with the rule of law will not be spared from trying to find those who are responsible," Mogherini said.
She also talked about the tax and the CEFTA agreement, saying that CEFTA does not allow illegal and arbitrary placement of tariffs for products of one or more countries and under the Stabilization and Association Agreement between Kosovo and the EU, Kosovo has pledged to continue the fulfillment of the CEFTA agreement.
