Following the seizure of about a ton and a half of cannabis on board of a speedboat, which was coming from Albania, has reacted the Italian mayor of Martina Franca, who thanked the police for the operation.
"Congratulations and a big thank you to the police. Our territory, which is located in a remote area, is also sheltered in distance from the dangers that come from far. The drugs seized today as many others pose a great risk to our children and obviously we should not underestimate this," he said.We remind that the drug caught inside the speedboat was divided into eighty bags, while the value on the market goes to about 14 million euros. Two suspected traffickers were arrested, two young Italians from Cisternino.
