Fotini Vaki speaking in the Greek Parliament |
Fotini Vaki, spokeswoman of the SYRIZA party parliamentary group and Corfu deputy in the Greek Parliament condemned the killing of the Albanian Petrit Zifle in Corfu.
She has considered this murder as "a crime of racist character"."It is obviously a crime of very prominent racist character," said Vaki to the radio of the ANA-MPA News Agency,.
"Another immigrant becomes a victim of racism. Such a climate caused racist and xenophobic incidents, where immigrants became the victims. Unfortunately, there were the necessary temperatures to warm and give birth to snake eggs, found a suitable place for the emergence of the ideological heirs of Nazism, because the author was the Golden Dawn Electoral Representative in the last elections," Ms. Vaki said.
She has called on all political forces to act against fascist elements.
"Let's isolate fascism rather than simply condemn the violence, otherwise there will be other victims in the future," she said.
She said the murder in Corfu was carried out at a cafe after verbal disputes over Macedonia's case.
