According to Trepça management data, by the end of October this year 8,954 tons of plumbum and zinc concentrates were produced, 18 percent less than in the same period of last year. Until the end of October 2017 154,884 tonnes of ore were released, while this year 132,496 tons of ore. The Supervisory Board appoints the new acting director, engineer Xhevdet Tahiri.
The production of plumbum and zinc concentrate as well as of ore at the Stan Tërgut mine continues to decline. Compared to 2014, the production of concentrate and ore at Stan Tërgut mine has dropped by almost 50 percent.The current management of "Trepça" has come up with the production data of 2018, according to them by the end of October this year 8,954 tons of lead and zinc concentrates were produced, 18 percent less than in the same period last year.
According to the Trepça leaders, by the end of October 2017, 154,884 tons of ore is released, while this year 132,496 tons of oar, which is far less than in the same period of last year.
In 2014, is the record year of production with 18,000 tons of lead and zinc concentrates, and 204,000 tons of ore. The low level of production of the Kosovar "economic giant" has come as a result of the old technology, the lack of investments, the aging of the miners and the lack of implementation of the Law on "Trepça".
