German ZDF devotes reportage to students protest in Tirana

The German Television ZDF broadcasted a news reportage related to the students protest in Tirana, in which  stressed that students have been protesting against the government for several weeks, accusing it of corruption and links to the drug trafficking.

In these chronicles are seen views of the protest, which is already being held in front of office of the Prime Ministry and the demands of the students.

The "ZDF" shooting band has been accompanied by the student Igli Tola, who has shown the bad conditions of the dormitories in Albania.

The displayed scenes showed student dormitory toilets in miserable condition, with molded walls.

The German journalist says the students lack elementary things, while the people of government live in luxury and are involved in corruption scandals.

Further on in the reportage is interviewed the Deputy Minister of Education, Besa Shahini, who states that the Government has invited students to dialogue with them in order to find a solution on how to improve the situation.

But the students have not accepted, the journalist continues, as they have lost confidence in the country's political elite.

While the political scientist, Afrim Krasniqi, from the Albanian Institute for Political Studies, raises the concern of the pedagogues with counterfeit qualifications.

Among them are two ministers in the Government of Prime Minister Rama, underlines Krasniqi, but they are not dismissed because they are his associates.

ZDF notes that the protests are the reactions of a generation that for a long time no one has taken into account, lacking prospects, and the university system requires comprehensive reform.

"Students with their demands have won the support of the whole country", concludes the report by German television ZDF.
