9 gambling stores were closed one week before in Ferizaj, after an action undertaken by the inspectorate of this municipality in cooperation with the police.
In the explanations given it was emphasized that most of these activities did not possess a business certificate or minimal technical conditions for the development of their activity.The Mayor Agim Aliu says he will ask to the Government of Kosovo to close all gambling and massage salons in the area.
"Indeed, the government itself should reflect on the law of gambling. I would have closed all the bets and casinos wherever they are, but especially in Ferizaj," said Agim Aliu, Mayor of Ferizaj, Kosovo.
Ali is totally committed to what he calls zero tolerance to businesses that favor fiscal informality and jeopardize the well-being of citizens.
Meanwhile, he complained that Ferizaj is being penalized in the budget aspect due to the mismanagement of the previous government. 90 per cent of this year's budget, according to him, is owed to the municipality.
