Tirana police have arrested 9 people who are charged with "theft by abusing in the workplace".

The police operation codenamed "The Centralist" of the Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Section in cooperation with the Tirana Judicial District Prosecutor's Office detained 9 citizens for the criminal act "Theft by abusing on duty". Also are processed in free state 5 citizens, while 6 others are wanted. The Department for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in DVP Tirana, in cooperation with Tirana District Prosecutor's Office, after an intensive eight-month investigative work, in the framework of the criminal proceedings of 2018, finalized the police operation codenamed "The Centralist", where these citizens are detained :

A., 27, resident in Tirana
B., 35, resident in Tirana
D., 34, resident in Tirana
S., 22, resident in Tirana
G., 38, resident in Tirana

The aforementioned citizens carried out the illegal activity of recharging and activating the promotional packages of a mobile phone company (abroad) using unlawful applications and platforms and have carried out theft by abusing with their duty in their work positions in a Call Centers company in the city of Tirana, causing the telephone company a damage of 510 000 euros...
