The Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) got united unanimously yesterday to the United Albanian opposition in their effort to give up their mandates, but today the deputy of Durres, Lefter Koka, comes out against the will of the group and the SMI leader, Monika Kryemadhi.

The opposition got yesterday the decision to burn the deputy mandates.
My unwavering decision is that I will not burn the deputy mandate, which thousands of citizens of Durres have entrusted me. Selected by the will of my fellow citizens to exercise the legislative power and to be their representative. My principles in the 2 decades of my political life were guided solely by the interest of the citizens. They are who have always shown me what is right and truth, they are my companions and guides.
This is not a simple decision for the Socialist Movement for Integration but of Sali Berisha, who in the 21st century calls for bullets in the forehead. And if the day came for him to manipulate the SMI, as if it were Lulzim Basha, he can not drag me to the adventures that I find obscene to Albanian society and democracy.
My mandate is the trust of thousands of citizens. It is the mandate of the citizenship, culture and nobility of the people of Durrës, who neither in the most difficult days of this city never broke a glass. Durrës citizens have shown at any time that they are the best example of the Albanian society. My mandate cannot be used to set fire to state institutions or the Albanian Parliament.
