Croatia's President held a meeting with a delegation of the Albanian Veterans' Association in the Croatian War for Liberation
The President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic acknowledged the delegation with the steps taken to regulate the status of Croatia's Homeland War Veterans.Grabar-Kitarovic said that during the Homeland War and the Croatian defense against the aggression, many Albanians joined the Croatian forces and fought for the independence of this country.
This meeting was also welcomed by the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, who expressed in a note on his 'facebook' that "the self-sacrifice and the sacrifices of the Albanians in Croatia for its freedom have made our historic friendship even stronger of our peoples".
