"The characteristics of the labour market in Albania, the identification of key indicators and their dynamics in time" is the subject of a study published by the Research Department of Bank of Albania.
The features, issues and dynamics of the labour market indicators are important not only to understand the current trends of this market, but also the differences between groups of employees and the unemployed.This analysis provides an overview of the labour market situation in Albania and the dynamics of its main components, based on quarterly and annual data of the Labor Force Survey reported by the Statistics Institute.
The obtained results show that starting from 2014, the main labor market indicators in Albania, the employment and unemployment, represent a favourable and encouraging growth dynamics for the economy. However, figures indicate the difficulty of securing employment, especially in the younger ages, and also of an inadequate use of women's potential in the labour market.
