Though today's protest - March 16 - which was foreseen as violent, ended up without casualties, apart from some not serious injuries of some protesters and police officers at the Parliament, a tragedy occured in the other part of Tirana: a murder.
A 62-year-old was executed with a gun as he was running with his son on the runway to the Tirana Artificial Lake.Two people, one of whom is identified by eyewitnesses, ambushed and shot over the 62-year-old Haxhi Baçinozi and fled the scene.
Being identified the executor is a resident in Fier and had a conflict with the victim. Police specified in a press release that the event took place at 18.15 minutes.
Police has quickly set up roadblocks to catch the perpetrators, and has accompanied dozens of eyewitnesses, including the son of the victim, who has seen the whole crime scene.
