The Service for Internal Affairs and Complaints (SIAC) structures have been working for months in the operation codnamed "The Controller", investigating with special methods and trying to prove the illegal activity of police officers.
The latter, in exchange of money, made it possible for illegal persons to pass the border, or for citizens who were not allowed to enter the "Schengen zone".During the control exercised on the employees, a lot of monetary values in lek and euros were found in the quality of material evidence, which allegedly were obtained in a corrupt way.
The arrested citizens are:
1. A.GJ., 53, Inspector at BCP Port Durrës;
2. G.B, 29 years old, Inspector at BCP Durres Port;
3. G.Ç., 51, Assistant Inspector at BCP Durrës Port;
4. D.D., 53, Inspector at BCP Durrës Port;
5. D.Z., 50 years old, Inspectorate at BCP Durres Port;
6. J.K., 42 years old, Inspector at BCP Durrës Port.
7. P.K, 42 years old, Inspector at BCP Durrës Port.
