Are extended for 3 months investigations against former Prosecutor Adriatik Llalla

Adriatik Llalla

The Prosecution of Serious Crimes has extended for another three months the investigations for the former chief prosecutor, Adriatik Llalla.

Investigations against Llalla have started in March 2018, regarding allegations of "concealment of property", "non-declaration of money at the border", "money laundering" and "abuse of office".

But Llalla has appealed to the First Instance Court against extending the term of investigation against him. His request is expected to be reviewed by Judge Bibë Ndreca.

Meanwhile Llalla has started work to get rid of the list of unwanted people in the United States, for which he has engaged two US lobbyists.

Adriatik Llalla was one of the most apostrophied figures in the negative sense of the former US Ambassador to Albania, Donald Lu. He was publicly accused by Ambassador Lu for involvement in corruption.

Lalla himself has categorically dismissed the accusations of the Ambassador Lu. He has accused the former US ambassador of performing "the role of the judge and the prosecutor".
