State Police in cooperation with Interpol Tirana have made it possible to arrest an Indian citizen who is declared internationally wanted.
Interpol Tirana in cooperation with Rinas Police services detained the Indian citizen H.P, 59, born in India and resident in Nigeria."This citizen is detained at Rinas Airport leaving the territory of the Republic of Albania as a person declared international wanted by Interpol New Delhi/India. The Patiala House / New Delhi Court issued an arrest warrant for the criminal offense "Money Laundering" provided by Articles 3 and 4 of the "Law on Money Laundering Prevention". Further actions for the extradition of this citizen will be performed by the Interpol Tirana", reads the State Police announcement.
