Lezha and Mirdita under fire; 17 hectares of forests burned

 There are massive flames on the hilly region of Ungrej (Lezha) administrative unit.

The flames came originally into the area called Frengen, and then helped by the wind have included about 10 hectares of forest so far.

The Forest Inspectorate forces have gone to the event and by circumstantial means have worked to extinguish the flames.

The fire does not risk approaching the homes.

Is suspected for the fire of being deliberately set, so the police are looking for the perpetrators.

Meanwhile another fire has fallen in Gëziq village in Mirdita. So far, about seven burnt hectares are reported.

The mountainous terrain does not allow the introduction of firefighting machines and has made it difficult for firefighters who are working with firefighting tools.
