The Romanian Prime said Turkey is a key partner for the European Union and supports its EU membership.
Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila at the joint press conference after meeting with the Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktaj and delegations underlined that Turkey and Romania have strong relations and a very high mutual trade potential.Dancila announced that Turkey-Romania Strategic Partnership Agreement, which was signed in 2011, has provided reciprocal advantages and the projects reviewed at the meetings have shown themselves in order to benefit the two countries.
She said that she is very happy to conduct the meeting of the Joint Economic and Trade Committee, to be held in April and the Mixed Economy Commission meeting, to be held later.
"We want businessmen from both countries to look at both the Turkish market and the Romanian market. In this context, we are very happy with the organization of the economic forum. Our cooperation in the field of health and medical science continues. An important potential exists also in the field of health," said the Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila.
She also announced that the Turkey-EU relations were discussed at the Oktaj meeting.
Danila noted that he felt happy in the second EU-Turkey Negotiation Commission meeting in March in Brussels after 4 years, and added: "The EU, Romania and Turkey intentions goest in the same direction. The EU presidency of Romania is very important. Turkey is a key partner for the Union. Romania supports Turkey's EU membership. Turkey, welcoming more than 3.5 million refugees to stop illegal immigration, continues to make an extraordinary effort.
