The Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia will file criminal charges against a woman who through the social network Facebook has distributed hate speech on a national basis, or has written the phrase "A Good Albanian is a dead Albanian".
"We inform the public that after the controls carried out on the personal identification it was found that the person Frosina Tina Martinovska does not work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), as it was written in some media. The Cybercrime and Digital Forensics Sector will continue to work with the purpose of sanctioning these cases. We invite citizens to submit these cases to the nearest police station or at cybercrime@moi.gov.mk," reads the press release of MIA.The person in question became a topic of discussion on social networks, as in her profile, she by herself has noted that she works in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. On this occasion, the citizens reacted by seeking her punishment.
Otherwise, according to the Criminal Code of North Macedonia, the person who "distributes racist and xenophobic material through the computer system" is sentenced to 1 to 5 years in jail.
