The Operation lead by the Antiterror Directorate in collaboration with Interpol Tirana and DVP Elbasan made it possible to arrest with the purpose of extradition the 28-year-old wanted by Italian justice, Bledar Ibrahimi.
"Following the work on the prevention of terrorism and the arrest of the persons internationally wanted for terrorism, the structures of the Anti-Terror Directorate in State Police, as a result of the information received and investigative work, were organized and finalized in cooperation with Interpol Tirana and the Local Police Directorate of Elbasan, the operation for seizing a person with high social risks. The arrest of this citizen was due to the fact that Interpol Roma on 15.04.2019 declared internationally wanted on the basis of the arrest warrant issued by the Prosecutor's Office of the Italian Republic in March 2019, for the offense "Participation in a terrorist organization, provided by Article 270 of the Italian Criminal Code", the police informs.
