The European Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hanh has expressed confidence that the European Commission will recommend the opening of negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia at the end of May, the German newspaper Handelsblatt reported on Friday.
According to Hahn, the opening of negotiations is not only in the interest of the countries of the region, but also of the EU itself. Hahn believes that Albania and North Macedonia deserve the opening of negotiations, which was postponed for June."It is not just about the peoples of Southeast Europe, but also about our interests.
