The foreigners visiting Albania - referring to the data of the Statistics Institute of Albania (SIA) for 2018 - stay on average 4 nights, mostly in hotels, and travel with their private cars. The daily expenses of foreign tourists reach on the average to 52 euros. While the loyal tourists who choose our country to rest are the Kosovars, but also the inflows of foreign nationals from the European region have increased over 2018.
15.8% more tourists than in 2017 last year, as well as foreign nationals' expenses increased by 12.5%. Kosovars, Macedonians and Montenegrins spend from 40 euros to 60 euros a day, while the Italians are those who spend about 81 euros a day. Because of cheap prices in Albania, the tourists return again to rest in our country."This is the third time I come to Tirana, in the first visit I cured my teeth then meet my friends. You Albanians are very kind to us Italians, and compared with Italy the prices here are very cheap here," says a tourist.
"I am a tourist guide and I often visit Albania, but the group here is for the first time because the Israelis are now beginning to discover your country. And they will come back again because to us, here is very cheap. We have included the breakfast and the dinner at the hotel and we pay only 25 euros," says the guide.
For 5 years, from 2014 to 2018, the number of nights spent by the tourists is about 21 million, increasing by 10.7% in 2018. While the number of daily tourists in this period goes to about 1.7 million.
