More than 24 hours after the spectacular robbery at Mother Teresa Airport, the Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj blamed the Chinese concession company for lack of security.
The minister Lleshaj stated that the company has rejected the demands of the state to take measures, despite the payment that passengers make for security.But strong legal measures will be taken, Lleshaj stressed, to guarantee all the standards at Rinas Airport.
"With regard to the event that occurred yesterday in Rinas, the concessionaire's security system did not worked. The Chinese security company has failed in its mission. The Police is not called in this case, even though had to be done imedietaly.
The concessionaire did not act properly by not informing the police on time. But the police acted decisively in carrying out its mission. The Police forces have acted in the place and beyond and today we have important material evidence. The investigative group has important evidence for the event," said the Interior Minister.
