Serbia is considering sending Kosovo to Arbitrage because of the 100% tariff

 Ana Brnabic

Serbia is considering the possibility of sending Kosovo to Arbitrage because of the violation of the Free Trade Agreement, CEFTA, setting the 100 percent tariff for Serbian goods.

This is what the Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced in the framework of the Digital Summit being held in Belgrade.

"This is the only way to protect Serbia's interests at this moment and that all those who signed the agreement (CEFTA) carry the consequences in accordance with the signed contract," said Brnabic at a press conference. She reiterated that Belgrade's negotiations with Pristina on normalizing relations will not continue until Pristina abrogates the tariff on goods from Serbia.

"There is no other way exept the co-operation and no country or territory of the region will be stable if the whole region is not stable", stressed the Serbian Prime Minister.

The Kosovo Government in November last year set a tariff on Serbian and Bosnian goods. This measure is undertaking because of the campaign against the statehood of Kosovo being by Serbia. Meanwhile, the tariff to Bosnia and Herzegovina justified the fact that this country does not recognize Kosovo's independence and constantly hampers the free movement of citizens. The EU and the US have asked the authorities in Pristina to abolish the whole or temporarily suspend the tariff, but this request has not yet been taken into account by the Government of Kosovo.
