The Albanian-Italian drug trafficking group destroyed, dozens jailed
 

 Ended today the marijuana drug traffickers trial from Albania to Italy. The trial against 25 defendants involved in drug trafficking arrested in the framework of the "Stammer 2 -Minina" operation has ended with 19 convictions.

Italian investigators have found that the narcotics trafficking gangs in Albania co-operated with those of Italy. The highest sentences are given to those rated as "heads of criminal groups", Gianfranco Contestabile and the Albanian Shefik Muho, 34.

In addition, 18 years in prison is given to Indrit Buja, 37, another Albanian. Salvatore Pititto, 52, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Sentences of 11 years in prison were given to Elvis Hajdin and Giovanni Pastorello, respectively 25 and 59. Massimo Pannaci, 52, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, plus a fine of 40 thousand euros, as Italian media reports.


Meanwhile, 9 other defendants were sentenced to 4 years in prison. Antonio Massimiliano Varone, 44, Mileto was sentenced to 4 years in prison and fined with 24,000 euros. Fortunato Baldo, 23, was sentenced to 4 years and paid a fine of 20 thousand euros; Francesco Colangelo paid a fine of € 18,000. All are Italian citizens.

Finally, three other defendants were sentenced to three years and four months and a fine of 12,000 euros each: The three are Italians. Other Italians of the organization have been convicted. Drugs originated in Albania.
